Hitting the roads as a 2018 model, this came in 5 trims. The trims are the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. If you find yourself looking at a trim above the EX, you’ll be treated to Honda Sensing. This comes with tons of safety and driver-assistance features.
Some of these features are collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. These same trim levels come with the new Magic Slide second row seats. These can slide sideways, making it easier to get in and out.
All models are equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen that has phone connectivity. While the Touring and Elite trims come with CabinTalk, a PA system that makes it easy to talk to people in the third row. As well as a 10.2-inch rear entertainment system, a hands-free power tailgate, and a heated steering wheel.
No matter the trim, they all come equipped with the same engine. This engine is the 3.5L V6, making 280 horsepower. While power isn’t too important on a family van, the mileage is. This comes with an EPA-rated 22 MPG combined for the entire generation, getting up to 429 miles of range.
Starting with 2021 models, every trim is now equipped with Honda Sensing, with a rear seat reminder being added to the CabinWatch system, making sure that no one gets left inside. Other changes to the build of the vehicle in 2022 gave the vehicle the IIHS’ Top Safety Pick+.
For the 2023 model, the LX was dropped, while the Sport trim was added. This sat towards the middle of the pack, and it came with a sportier look.
With the 2024 model being relatively the same, the big changes came in for the 2025 model. This saw the EX trim get discontinued, leaving the EX-L as the base trim, with the Sport being renamed to the Sport-L.
Some new features in this model are a larger 9-inch display, coming with wireless phone connectivity, a wireless phone charger, and more USB-C ports throughout the interior, helping everyone stay connected on long journeys.
The rear entertainment system also saw some upgrades, now sitting at 12.8 inches, but with this change, the disc drive was removed, taking away the ability to watch DVDs and Blu-ray.
No matter the trim, you can find comfortable seats. The third row has 38.1 inches of legroom, while the second row gets more at 40.9 inches. This is the same amount as the front row, making every seating position spacious.
